Aghanjar Mahadev Temple
The five centuries-old Aghanjar Mahadev temple is one of the busiest pilgrim and tourist attractions in all of Dharamshala. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the shrine is located in the foothills of Dhauladhar, nestled between high mountain peaks. Nature lovers would find it difficult to tear themselves away from the exquisite natural beauty of the land. The cool climate, awe-inspiring view, and the small cascade nearby create a uniquely serene atmosphere. Tourists will feel rejuvenated even if they do not believe in the divinity of the deity in the temple.

Here once you land in Himachal Pradesh, you can visit the temple, There is no etre fed as such and you can visit any time between 5 am to 9 am any day of the week., Normally people spend about 2 hours in this area. To reach the place, you need to walk or take a cab. It is just 5 km away from the Dharamsala town. That can be seen on the Sidhpur – Khaniyara road and further tourists will reach in 15 minutes through the road via the cab or some auto rickshaw.
You can visit the place all year round, but generally, the monsoon is not encouraged as you can sightsee any place without getting wet. So, stick to Ovtober up to the month of May and see the place. Other attractions in the area are the Kangra Fort, Masroor Temples, Dal Lake, Bhagsu Falls, etc.
